Why didn't I think of that !!

Back in 1989, Dave Fortney had 2 sons playing little league baseball. One afternoon, one son came home from practice with a hat so dirty, he wouldnt be able to wear it for the big championship game that weekend. He decided that instead of buying a new one, he would come up with a way to wash it and hopefully, not ruin it like all the other hats he had tried to wash.  He grabbed a few metal coat hangers, when out into the garage and a couple of hours later, came in with the first working prototype of the Ballcap Buddy cap washer.  He placed his sons cap inside it, put it in the top rack of the dishwasher, and he and both sons sat and waited to see what would happen.  When the dishwashing cycle had finished, they slowly opened the door and when the steam cleared.... voila !!!  they had a super clean cap and it didnt lose its shape !!!

Sales of the Ballcap Buddy cap washer took of like wildfire and showed up in some unexpected places, such as

Playboy magazine  (that made us a little nervous until we found out someone just wrote
                               to ask where to find a Ballcap Buddy cap washer)

Zippy    the newspaper cartoon, wrote a comic strip about it.
